HUG CAFE
The newly opened Hug Café is a cozy neighborhood coffee shop in the Saburtalo district. The tastefully designed interior is a great place to relax or get some work done (wi-fi and outlets, hello!). The long communal table adds to the community vibe.
The menu is modern and trendy – fresh juices, Shavi Lomi beer by the bottle, and third wave coffee. The basic dishes are soups, sandwiches, salads, and pizzas (I use the term lightly). There is also a “fitness menu” with low calories options.
Another unique aspect of the cafe is that they serve breakfast! Including avocado toast which, yes, is trying a little too hard for that hipster NYC vibe, but in a city so starved for creative mid-range eateries, it is almost welcome.
