Mado is one of the most popular restaurant chains in Turkey, and has now expanded into Georgia. Popular among Turkish and Middle Eastern tourists, expats and locals love it too for amazing, reliable Turkish food with good service. Their salads, kofte (Turkish meatballs) and desserts really stand out. They also have a Turkish breakfast spread that, while not the same as you'll find in Istanbul or Van, is quite good.

Mado offers a lovely, colorful array of desserts, both Turkish and international. You can finish your meal with a double scoop of Turkish-style ice cream (dondurma), which is set apart from standard ice cream by its texture – chewier, and stickier – but in a good way! Thanks to the inclusion of salep (orchid root flour) and mastic (a resin), it does not melt easily, and usually lasts a bit longer than regular ice cream.
