Cool Has Arrived in Kutaisi

Elegant wooden-floors, vintage furniture, and bright and airy rooms - Black Tomato is a new kind of hostel in Kutaisi. Newly opened in 2019 by Elene and Mariam, two young female entrepreneurs, Black Tomato is a hostel and wine bar in Kutaisi’s Old Town that oozes cool in every detail, giving hostels in Tbilisi a run for their money.

Black Tomato has three dorm rooms with shared bathrooms and comfortable beds that ensure for a good night’s sleep. There are also two private bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Guests can relax in the open kitchen, read a book in the library, challenge fellow travelers to a board game or enjoy a glass of wine in the garden. The team goes out of their way to ensure every visitor has a great stay, sharing tips about the region and helping guests to feel at home in Kutaisi.
