Small-scale Christmas markets

There are a few Christmas themed markets around the capital where you can get various handmade gifts. There’s one in front of the Saburtalo City Mall and one on the territory between the Parliament and the Freedom Square. If you’re done with getting the overproduced gifts that everyone winds up having, and would like to get something special for your special someone(s), you should check out these markets. They open around noon and usually close around 10 PM.

New Year Fest in Old Tbilisi

Georgians have the tradition of exchanging gifts not on Christmas but on New Year's Day. If that’s what you’re planning to do, this fest might give you great options for your presents. At 12 PM on December 28, the fest opens in the Cinema Square (the street parallel to Shardeni). They will present production that “reminds you of the holiday season and makes you merry!”
