GUEST TIPS FOR YEAR-ROUND SHOPPING

Lena Kevkhishvili, Owner & Managing Director of the Autograph Georgia, reveals her top tips for shopping.

STAMBA CHOCOLATERIE & ROASTERIE

When Georgia comes to your mind, chocolate is not the first thing you think of. This is why you should visit Stamba’s Chocolaterie & Roastery, which offers a variety of handmade artisan chocolates created with cocoa beans imported from Venezuela, Madagascar, Peru and Colombia.

Every visit I make to Tbilisi starts in Stamba’s Chocolaterie with a good coffee and a chocolate selection that always surprises me. I just can’t get these flavors out of my head.

FLYING PAINTER

Flying Painter is a Georgian brand creating clothing and accessories. So if you love art and if you want to wear art, the Flying Painter is the right place for you. This is a place where artists deliver social, political and romantic messages to the public using the language of fashion and art. The name of the brand, Flying Painter, has roots in the title of a work by the Georgian modernist painter Petre Otskheli, which was created in 1936 for the film “Winged Painter” by director Leo Esakia.

GEORGIAN MEMORY

I am sure that you will spend at least one of your afternoons here at Tbilisi Mall. Please don’t miss out a visit to Georgian Memory to discover beautiful silk scarves decorated with Tbilisi-inspired designs (such as the iconic balconied houses) and more subdued, abstract patterns.

STAMBA'S BOOKS

Located on the first floor of Stamba Hotel, Stamba’s Books stocks literary related knickknacks and souvenirs alongside a wide variety of Georgian-language tomes. This is not your average souvenir shop, this is a place where illustrated Piu Wiu paper goods and homewares (I love the khinkali enamel mugs!) make for the perfect Tbilisi souvenir. You can also find Blue Supra tablecloths here.

WHITE STUDIO

If you are looking to find something one of a kind just for you or your loved ones, you are in the right place. This Georgian ceramics studio in the trendy Vera neighborhood makes porcelain tableware, home accessories and offers a variety of gift ideas. Aiming to revitalize traditional pottery techniques, the artists behind WHITE Studio use faience and red clay, and decorate their creations with hand-painted designs.
